Logic puzzles that challenge your spatial reasoning often rely on simple rules with infinite complexity. Number Tiles brings the classic shikaku style to your screen by tasking you with partitioning a grid into precise rectangular zones. You start by selecting cells and dragging them to form shapes that match the value inside each box. Every rectangle needs to cover a specific count of squares while avoiding any overlap with neighbors. This Japanese logic game requires careful planning because the board fills up quickly as you reach higher levels. You can redraw your paths anytime a shape does not satisfy the requirements of the grid. Clearing boards earns you stars and moves you up the ranks on our leaderboard. Play Number Tiles for free directly in your browser with no download required.
Each level gives you a grid with numbers. Press a cell on the board and drag to another cell to paint a rectangular area. If the selection contains exactly one number and the area size matches that number, it will stay on the board.
Your goal is to paint all available cells with correct areas. Each area must contain only one number, stay inside the board, and not overlap other areas. For example, the number 6 can be painted as a 1x6, 2x3, 3x2, or 6x1 area, as long as the chosen shape fits on the board and does not touch other numbers.
If a move does not fit, try another shape. An existing area can be redrawn. A hint automatically reveals one unsolved fragment when you need help.
When all cells are painted correctly, the level is complete. You receive stars and move on to the next puzzle.
Puzzle lovers who enjoy logical challenges will find this game satisfying. Fans of brain-teasers who want a calm experience during short breaks will appreciate the clean design. If you enjoy geometric logic and spatial planning, you will find this title a great way to sharpen your mind.
