How to play

The goal of chess is to checkmate your opponent's king. Your piece cannot move to a square occupied by your own piece, but it can occupy an opponent's square (capture a piece).

Controls:

Select the color of your piece. To make a move, click with the left mouse button on the piece you want to move. The available squares for the move will be highlighted.

Make the move. Click on one of the highlighted squares to complete the move.

Special moves. Castling is performed by moving the king two squares in the direction of the rook. Capture on the pass occurs automatically if the rules are followed.
